Hi, just wondering how the Paleo diet worked out for you? Did you end up losing weight? My suggestion would have been to eliminate Paleo “treats,” and to do a Whole30. Doing a Whole30 works to address the emotional reasons why we eat. A strict Paleo diet should be very satiating and even out your blood sugar levels, so shouldn’t be reaching for a snack from hunger… so my guess would be that the snacks are more out of emotion/habit.

The Paleo Diet also almost completely eradicates sugar. Unless you’re getting your sugar from a fruit, forget it. Sugar causes an energy spike and crash in your system, turns to fat unless it’s used immediately, and wreaks all kind of havoc on our bodies.
My breakfast this morning was 3 eggs scrambled in tablespoon of butter, Pan fried turkey and 1/4 cup of cheese on the eggs. It really was a large pile. (I know the cheese isn’t a great Paleo input but I was hard pressed to find calories. In the future I’ll add lots of fried greens and cabbage.
Eat a breakfast that is high on protein rich foods like eggs, yogurt, or peanut butter. It will keep you going strong without letting you feed on some high calorie foods early morning. Also make sure that you don’t wait for more than three hours for your next meal. Image Courtesy: Getty
Hi! I have been on the paleo diet for almost a month now! I feel amazing! I do not have cravings. I really think it is a lifestyle change for me and one that I will keep! I am 57 years old and exercise 6 days a week. I swim 3 days a week and practice Bikram (Hot Yoga) 3 days a week. I feel fine when I am swimming but am not doing well in Yoga. Bikram is not new for me, I have been practicing for 7 years.
I am still persisting in taking PhenBlue now. I feel nauseated when using PhenBlue, but I have lost 12 pounds in a month. Although the result is not really perfect, PhenBlue makes me more confident with my body.

Just the act of looking at the food will help you slow down and allow you to prioritize which ones you enjoy the most and which ones you don’t like as much. Planning out your meal will help you eat more mindfully.
Best advice’s I can give you are, from day 1 early morning to day 8 early morning, leave your scale alone. And from what you’ve said, I think you’re not drinking enough to help evacuate your body fat.
Where theres a will, theres a way. Try swimming. Check out exercises that you can do sitting. Be slow, gradual and persistent. Find a movement that does not hurt and do it over and over again. Consider it exercise. At your age, all movement counts as exrcise. So move. Good luck.
Furthermore, Dr. Cordain advocates an 85/15 rule which allows a little leeway for foods that aren’t strictly Paleo. This helps some people stay Paleo much longer term than they would otherwise. If zero sugar works for you, great! Everyone’s Paleo is a bit different and we all have to find what works best for ourselves.
Portion out seeds, nuts, and nut butters. Nuts, by nature, are high in fats, which contain more than double the calories per gram than carbohydrates or protein. But they’re also highly snackable, it can be easy to lose track of portions. If you eat a lot of nuts, trail mix, or nut butters, consider portioning these high-calorie foods into individual servings ahead of time.

I’ve been doing the pale I diet for 2 weeks now and I feel like my clothes are getting tighter even though I eat mostly greens, good protein sources, and I’ve cut back on sugar tremendously. I try to get less than 100g of carbs a day but I’m still not seeing any changes. I’m 135 lbs and 5’7. I’m skinny on top but my thighs and butt are my problem areas. I don’t know what to do :((
