I dont look at weight, or even a scale. I look at how my clothes fit, how I have energy and how I have returned to being human – I didnt know what that meant until I went Paleo. I started thinking for myself and accepting that my thoughts were never going to be in line with the large food conglomerates who have poisoned our notion of what “good” food is. I am happy! So, let me leave you with my current thought: Processed Food: Its like second hand smoke for all the other organs of your body.
This diet is not too far off the normal for me, especially after fasting during our Orthodox lent for 46 days. I am following the plan to support my friend who needs and wants to lose weight. She lives alone and does not cook, so I made the soup. I was totally surprised how great it tastes! I thought it would be so bland, but it’s delicious. I know it wouldn’t be as tasty substituting vegetable broth for the beef broth, but what do you think of its implication diet plan-wise?

It is advised that you consult your doctor before getting on with this American Heart Association 3 Days Diet Plan. Different individuals come with different body metabolisms; hence, taking the help of your doctor is suggested.
I just thought of something else. You may already be aware, but whey protein is dairy…I know I was eating protein in shakes and wasn’t even considering that. Hemp protein, and pea protein are a good option I think to use.
However, it is a very low calorie diet. It should not be followed for more than 12 weeks and people should seek their GP’s advice before starting. It can be very socially isolating and people may fear going back onto a normal diet afterwards as they are worried about re-gaining the weight.”
I tell this to everyone because everyone (me included) have done the same thing, trying to cut corners and make it easier. You’ve added different ingredients (mushrooms, cauliflower, Braggs seasoning and stir fried it all). And didn’t eat your needed baked potato. Everything in this diet has a purpose and each day ingredients has a purpose as well. I can’t say that what you’ve done is without a doubt wrong, but what I can say is, every time that I’ve done this diet (first few times) and swayed away from the original recipe and day plan, I got screwed.
Any diet that restricts certain food groups and emphasizes others isn’t balanced, these experts say, and there isn’t strong science to prove that Paleo-eaters live longer, or are healthier than those who don’t follow the diet.
* Though this author recommends 1 to 2 teaspoons of ACV per cup of water, other sources call for 1 tablespoon per cup of water or other liquid, and that seems to be what VegKitchen readers have found most effective.
Tim, my husband and I are struggling with vegetarian options for breakfast according to your slow carb diet since we don’t eat eggs/fish/meat. Please do suggest options. My husband started Kettle Bell training after it was recommended in your book, he loves it. He complains of low energy from time to time and I have no idea how to restructure our meals. Currently started a homemade fig+dates+banana+yogurt smoothie to replace cereal and toast in the morning. Otherwise ghee, lentils and veggies for meals and lots of spinach. But there is still whole wheat flour and wholemeal bread as part of our diet which I haven’t been able to shake off yet simply because it’s traditional food and I don’t know what to substitute it with that will still fill the stomach and not make us feel hungry all the time. Help!
I’ve been on the Paleo diet for 3 and have lost 10 pounds by just eating eggs, meat and veggies. I eat protein/meat and veggies 6 days and have bread just once a week on day seven. That way I don’t feel deprived. Eating less sugar is so effective. I only use agave syrup and regular sugar not sweetener in my coffee with trader joes coconut creamer instead of coffee creamer. I feel full eating less of the carbs and sugar. This diet works!!! I’ve tried so many other diets but failed. I feel more full and have more energy plus I sleep better at night. Remember the less bad carbs and sugar the faster the weight will come off. Your body will burn your fat!!! Yes!! I’m sharing this diet with everyone. ??
