Well it’s a matter of semantics then, because I have a much greater problem eliminating grains than doing portion control. Being able to eat unlimited Paleo foods but not allowed to eat grains would be something that would require a lot of “trying” on my part. It would not come easy. In fact it would be damn near impossible and I’d probably go jump off a bridge …
Once you’ve started losing weight, throw out or give away every piece of clothing that doesn’t fit, and fill your closet with a dress that shows off your favorite body part. The idea of having to buy a whole new wardrobe if you gain the weight back will serve as a strong incentive to stay fit.
Congrats on going Paleo! Don’t give up!! Going Paleo means making big changes and it just might take a while longer for your metabolism to catch on and catch up. That said, as the article points out, there could be many reasons you’re not losing weight. You could be eating too much or too little, exercising too much or too little. You could be stressed, not sleeping adequately or you could have a food sensitivities, digestive issues or hormonal issues. Ghee is clarified butter. Ghee is very good for health and also it lowers LDL cholesterol.I get horizon butter and melt it slowly for 15 min till it changes it color to light brown and store it. Ghee has lot of importance in Indian foods. Infants are always fed with ghee mixed with everything. Ghee also improves memory . The difference BTW ghee and butter is their chemical structure (carbon bonds). Ghee is super healthy and i use ghee daily. If u are using ghee , lessen your olive oil.My BMI is normal but i want to get my BMI to 20 which is closer to the lower range of normal BMI.
The three main sources of calories are fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Sources of unhealthy saturated fats are butter, cheese and fatty cuts of meats; whereas sources of healthy unsaturated fats are nuts, vegetable oils, olives and seafood. Just like healthy and unhealthy fats, there are healthy and unhealthy carbs as well.
There are many types of fats, or more precisely fatty acids (FA’s). There are short chain, medium chain and long chain FA’s,then there are saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Our circulatory systems are water based, water and fat don’t mix (try it mix any oil with water shake it up and see if your would like your blood to look like this), so our body packages fat up into particles (lipoproteins) that are suspended in the blood, much like fine clay particles can be suspended in water. These are not free fatty acids that trigger the appetite control hormones. Short chain fats are not packaged this way and pass into the blood stream when consumed. Butter and cheese contain free short chain fatty acids that will help trigger the release of appetite hormones quickly.

1. Canned foods are absolutely fine. No problem. All of my vegetables are either frozen (80%) or canned (20%). I’m a huge fan of canned tuna in water mixed with lentils and chopped onions. If you’re trying to gain muscular weight, just add durum-based macaroni to that and you’ll be set.
Beef and veggies, eat to your heart’s content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.
