I have yo-yo dieted since the age of 12. Following many extreme diets. I have not eaten wheat or sugar or pre-packaged foods for months. 2 weeks ago I started the paleo re-set diet, and excluded all wheat, dairy, sugar, alcohol from my diet. I have one cup of coffee a day, herbal teas and water. I am devastated that whilst initially dropping a couple of kilos, I find myself back at square one. I am doing high intensity interval training 3-4 times a week and yet my body just does not seem to want to shed weight. My clothes do not particularly feel any loser. I have diarrhea most days. I cook with coconut oil or ghee, and limit my snacks to almonds or macademia nuts. I am 3 stones overweight and absolutely fed up of 40 days of dieting!!
I think the mindset of many people needs to evolve over time. The journey and paradigm shift for each individual is as different as the bio-individuality of each person and what foods they can handle.
I am not sure if Taye on her January 17 querry got the right help. I have a diabetic condition and use ACV to manage my sugar levels. I however realised that when mixed with medication for diabetes it can lead to hypoglycemia. I recently googled symptoms of hypoglycemia and one of them is having nightmares. So Taye might be having very low levels of glucose due to ACV and possibly condition that does not correct the low levels i.e. diabetic condition or other condition
Well, the most likely cause of this is, you have been totally accustomed to consuming excess calories daily. And now, you embarked on a rapid weight loss program where, the calories taken in are obviously very low. Just persevere and you will be fine! Do not give up!
