My concern exactly is the time issue. How are we supposed to prepare all of this food in a timely fashion? If you follow this plan how are you also supposed to have a normal work day? Do you think once we have the hang of it that the preparation would be easier?

The trick is to just buy enough so that you indulge and it’s gone. If you buy enough to feed a small village, it will be there when you wake up the next day, and you’re going to have trouble saying no. If you have some left over, throw it out before you go to bed. Put it underneath something slimy and disgusting in the garbage can so you’re not tempted to dig it out. Trust me, this is important.

The Paleo diet is also high in fiber, thanks to the many fruits, vegetables and nuts present in it. Fiber is great for weight loss because it contains very few calories but it can fill you up, helping control hunger and cravings. Fiber also helps balance your blood sugar – and when your blood sugar is stable, you don’t experience ups and downs in energy or that desperate need to eat sugars or white flours, which is common among people who eat lots of processed foods.

I lost 10 lbs. The first 3 weeks without trying and without feeling hungry. And this is post menopause with a slower metabolism! I feel good and look good and will continue. Now for some exercise to take it further. I’m sure our paleo ancestors did a lot of walking.

6 pounds in 3 weeks is great, and healthy. You will be more likely to KEEP it off. Everyone needs to remember that this is really a LIFE CHANGE. Once you reach your goals you don’t go back to old bad habits. If you do, the weight, and any issues you had because of it, will be back. Exercise is very important also. And you don’t have to have a gym membership. Just walking fast enough to get your heart rate up for 20-30 minutes a day is a great start.

 However, evidence of this is limited. Some people may eat a lot of food on the non-fast days, which is not going to result in long-term weight loss. This kind of binge-eating does not encourage a healthy relationship with food.

The Paleo diet is a nutritional plan and weight loss diet that mimics the diet of our ancestors – especifically, those living back in the Paleolithic era. Back then, agriculture hadn’t been developed yet, which means the Paleo diet is a grain-free diet.

Since we are talking about setting a meal plan, we need to talk about how many calories you should plan to eat. If your goal is to lose weight, all you need to know is your goal weight. The equation is easy; add a zero to the end of your goal weight to find your daily calorie goal. Just be sure not to go under 1200 calories per day as this will send your metabolism into preservation mode, which may cause your body to hold onto weight instead of releasing it.

Changing our habits is the first step, but it is also the hardest. I recommend that you start eliminating un paleo foods and start experimenting and tying paleo foods, you might be surprised at how much you like them, especially when you start feeling the benefits of eating paleo.
