Mina, I think your def. not taking in enough calories during the day, and therefore, putting your body in starvation mode (esp. since your a breastfeeding). As the plan reads, you should be eating more than just a beverage at breakfast, and one piece of fruit at lunch (actually the plans doesn’t say any fruit). It would probably help if you consume more calories, esp. at breakfast time as it will get your metabolism rolling for the rest of the day. I think the key to this ‘diet’ is the foods being suggested to consume during this period are actually being consumed. Your soups also dont seem to be in line with the plan either. I would say to read over the plan again, stick to the foods listed, and def. eat more throughout the day.

Make a calorie chart and start listing things you have eaten in a day and then count the calories. This will make you aware of the calories present in the food so that you may take the exact amount of calories needed by your body.
RobinH – plain paleo foods are not tasteless. Our pallets have been altered. There isn’t anything wrong with eating ordinary food. People are looking for help in losing weight. I think the entertainment value of food is not the topic here.
I don’t think that I would do very well with this diet. I prefer to eat the majority of my calories through bread, pasta and rice. I have about a 5.5% body fat, and weigh about 140-145 pounds most of the year. I do run a lot, as well as cross train a lot; any time that I stop workout out, I lose weight too fast and have trouble getting it back. I like the concept, though, and will certainly plan some meals around it.
During the 3 days of the diet, balanced nutrition is lacking. Some of the foods that are recommended are high in salt and fat and would not be appropriate for people with certain medical problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol. You may not be getting enough vitamins, minerals, and fiber while you are on the diet. If you are taking medicine for your diabetes and want to try the 3-day diet, it’s important to talk with your doctor first about how to adjust your medicine.
Also, just tell you a couple of things that I do that does Not change anything. I use butter flavored flakes, as well as butter flavored must (found near regular butters in store), for veggies, potatoes, etc. And Truvia for fruits if needed. Good Luck!

So I’m currently losing following more traditional techniques of weight loss (with weekly success) and plan to switch to a more paleo diet once I reached my target weight as I do believe in the health principals of this way of eating.

Depending on your habits, this change alone can cut a few hundred calories a day. Have a glass or two of water 20 minutes before meals to fill up and eat less.
