That’s exactly what I’m saying. Supplements can be used for this, even if your diet and exercise is mediocre. That said, the regimen of supplements that would accomplish this would make your liver and kidneys most unhappy, as both will be affected, and the liver will be filtering most of them from your blood.

Where theres a will, theres a way. Try swimming. Check out exercises that you can do sitting. Be slow, gradual and persistent. Find a movement that does not hurt and do it over and over again. Consider it exercise. At your age, all movement counts as exrcise. So move. Good luck.

If you successfully stick to this plan (created by the online diet and healthy living community SparkPeople.com), you’ll be exercising regularly and limiting your calories to about 1,500 per day – a combination that’s likely to help you drop a few pounds. Some panelists appreciated that the Spark Solution Diet encourages exercise and addresses topics like stress eating, which can often sabotage weight-loss attempts. Keat, it’s not animals that are unhealthy to eat, it’s the soy faux pas crap burgers that civilization made to attempt to keep the crazy (ya, I just called it crazy) PETA people happy. Real grass fed beef burger vs a rubber soy patty from McDs? Hmmm pretty sure my daughter’s fisher price kitchen came with a plastic burger patty that is a better alternative than
2.Count-Calories. Weight loss programs usually require you to modify your total calorie intake. Counting calories and being aware of how much you eat can help you lose weight. In general, you’ll want to cut out about 500–750 calories daily to lose about one to two pounds weekly.
“Following a heart healthy—or cardiac—diet would be recommended to someone who has high blood pressure, high cholesterol or any other history of heart disease, or to someone who has a family history of heart disease,” explains Lauren Kelly, MS, RD, CDN and founder of Kelly Wellness in New York City.

For most people, Paleo is much more nutritious than anything they were eating previously. In some cases, a supplement might help, but generally speaking, Paleo has you covered for nutrition without really paying much attention to individual vitamins and minerals.
Eating lower-calorie foods and smaller quantities of them are vital to losing weight. But the additional calories that exercise helps you burn make it easier to be on the right side of the calorie equation.
However, the diet plan doesn’t look at changing your eating habits or behaviour in the long-term. It may be difficult to meet the recommendation of eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.”

Remember, you didn’t get sick and overweight overnight so you won’t get well overnight. I expect if you stay the course you may get the point where your asthma is under control without steroids and you can continue to heal; a dear friend at work no longer takes heart medication, much medicine for rheumatoid arthritis, or his anti-depressants (he also lost about 60 pounds in the first year and has had it off for over two years).
If we can agree that fat gain and fat loss are hormonally driven, it becomes obvious that one should eat for hormonal balance rather than for caloric deprivation–and then people wouldn’t be frying their thyroids, or whatever.
I’m in week 2 of this diet, and I’ve had the same experience, too, NK! I lost 3.5lbs the first week, had my cheat day, gained 1.5 lbs, and 5 days later I’ve only lost .5lbs of the post-cheat weight. Help!
