What are you doing at the gym? Are you just doing a bunch of cardio? Because that is kind of an ineffective method of fat loss. Are you lifting weights and trying to build muscle? Doing so will not only improve your metabolism but will also give your body an improved shape.
This all looks super delish! However, can anyone advise me on how easy this is to keep up whilst working full time? And how expensive? I love this kind of food, and think it really helps when you mix that with regular workouts. However I work 12 hour shifts. On my 4 days off, I can prep and be super motivated! But when I am on shift, sometimes I just don’t have the time, or the money! Help!
Craving something sweet? Instead of fattening cookies or cake, reach for fresh figs. Thanks to their dense consistency and high amount of filling fiber, they can slow the release of sugar into your blood. Pair with ricotta cheese, melons, and prosciutto to make a satisfying fruit salad, or use as a topping on whole-wheat pizza with crumbled feta and walnuts.
“I totally cleaned out my pantry. Once I replaced the foods I used to overindulge in, like ice cream, with lower-cal snacks, such as roasted sunflower seeds or Special K Chocolatey Delight cereal, I began making better choices automatically. Now, I’m slimmer than I was before I had my two kids!” —Lori Feldman, Coconut Creek, FL

My name is Joshua, I am 24, 289lbs 5’11. I have gone down and up and down and up, and I know that eating is most of the diet. My wife brought home her iPhone tonight and showed me the Paleo Plan and I was very excited to try it. Although it is very new to me, I am excited to commit to getting fit being the first week of the new year.
“The long-term success rate of obesity treatment is abysmal, which is why every year we have new diets and weight-loss treatments, along with a billion-dollar weight-loss industry,” says Dr. David Ludwig, an endocrinologist and professor of nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health.

It is not a long-term way to lose and maintain your weight. The very low calorie plan that provides under 1000 calories a day should only be followed for a maximum of 12 weeks and a health professional’s advice should be sought before following this kind of diet.”
It’s the best way to keep the weight off – Dieting is a great way to lose weight, and drastically cutting your calories means you’ll see fast results. However, it’s extremely hard to maintain, which is why most fad diets crash and burn as soon as you walk by a bake sale. By filling yourself up with healthy foods and adopting a regular exercise routine, it’ll be easier to maintain that dream bod.
looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m

I started Paleo about 6 days ago and today is rough. I’ve been so good, substituting everything dairy with coconut/almond milk/cream/water. I’ve already been a Coconut oil freak, so that’s been an easy ride. As far the sweets go, that’s my downfall. I’m a huge chocolate/sweet lover and having co-workers who bring chocolate in on the daily is not helping my case. I’ve stuck with the Paleo style and haven’t caved (yet), but I am really wishing I had a bowl of chocolate right now. I know this will pass, so i’m hanging tight. I need to invest in some paleo dessert recipes, soon! Any tips or good websites for easy, quick dessert recipes? Is it going to kill me if I have ONE (1) little bite size snickers? I’m scared to cave in because I don’t want that to off-set everything I’ve sacrificed over the past 6 days, but I also don’t want to deprive myself so much that I completely indulge in a bowl of them! Any advice would be great!
I had tried another anti-depressant weight loss diet from “The Road Back” – their premise being that anti-depressants activate the “JNK” gene that makes weightloss difficult once activated. I bought the supplements and followed the protocol with no luck. Even the fellow who created the approach was at a loss for what do to for me. I’ll include it here though because some people did have success and so it’s worth knowing it’s out there:

I just finished my first week of TSCD … The cheat day was amazing … I ate til I was stuffed and I ate anything that caught my fancy … Now it’s back to the reg 6 days and Im still down from my start weight by 1.5kg . Next “cheat” day I will only eat things that I normally would but dont on the other 6 … the 3 Krispy Kremes rally did me in : )
Also which day is best to do this on? Considering that I am guessing the Saturday when you eat what you want would tend to be an above average day for calories compared to the other days when you are restricting your diet to low-GI and high protein.
Interval training is a high-intensity method of doing cardio that can allow you to do more in less time. Start by warming up at the cardio exercise of your choice by using a moderate pace for about 2 minutes. Then speed up to a high level for about 1 minute, back off to a slow pace for 1 minute, then repeat.
