The effects many not seem huge but over the course of a week, month, or year, it could really add up.” His advice? Turn off the TV, radio, music, and other noise, and focus on the melodic tones of crunching, slurping, and satisfied sighs.

The Mediterranean diet emphasizes eating good fats and good carbs along with large quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, fish, and olive oil—and only modest amounts of meat and cheese. The Mediterranean diet is more than just about food, though. Regular physical activity and sharing meals with others are also major components.
    Take a picture of yourself now, and then another 30 days from now. I bet you’ll be surprised with how your body transforms. I hope that AFTER those 30 days you’ll have adopted some of the principles, noted how much  better you feel, and continue to live with an improved relationship with food.
    While we don’t recommend doubling up on potatoes and steaks or eating nuts by the handful three times a day, it’s important to get in a proper amount of fuel for your body to function properly. You need protein for your muscles, fat at every meal for satiety and metabolism, and lots of vegetables and some fruit for adequate fibre intake as well as essential nutrients. If you’re slacking in any of these categories, your body will be missing out on something, which can make it want to hold onto extra weight.
