I have yo-yo dieted since the age of 12. Following many extreme diets. I have not eaten wheat or sugar or pre-packaged foods for months. 2 weeks ago I started the paleo re-set diet, and excluded all wheat, dairy, sugar, alcohol from my diet. I have one cup of black coffee a day, herbal teas and water. I am devastated that whilst initially dropping a couple of kilos, I find myself back at square one. I am doing high intensity interval training 3-4 times a week and yet my body just does not seem to want to shed weight. My clothes do not particularly feel any loser. I have diarrhea most days. I cook with coconut oil or ghee, and limit my snacks to almonds or macademia nuts. I am 3 stones overweight and absolutely fed up of 40 days of dieting!!

3. On MY diet (this is not to say it’s for everyone), brown rice is not OK unless within an hour after exercise. Too calorically dense and still normally high GI. Some will disagree, but here’s the thing. I’m not trying to get to 12% bodyfat (bf), I’m trying to get to 5-6%. This is HARD and requires that I be more strict that the average person.

Listen, the concept is quite simple and you only really need to know one thing. The more soup you eat, the more lbs you will lose. The more you cheat or divert by changing ingredients on the days, the less you will lose.

Any weight loss program needs to utilize foods that don’t contain those processed ingredients. They will fuel obedity and food addictions. GMO foods will aggravate the problem. If one looks at the top chefs in the world, they will use the best ingredients and we’re not talking expensive either. That is the basis to good food.

Your body does not burn a lot of calories while you are asleep. So whatever you eat at night gets converted to fat. Avoid eating anything at least 2 hours before going to sleep. It is advisable to finish your dinner and snack by 8 at night. If you feel hunger pangs at night, you can have a cup of unsweetened herbal tea before going to bed to keep your stomach full.

The Paleo diet isn’t something that was just dreamt up by one person, it has its foundation based on how foods react with our digestive system, and excludes foods that give it trouble. The foods it allows have been shown to be well-tolerated by a large portion of the population, which makes sense since they’re foods we’ve eaten for many tens of thousands of years. It looks to remove foods like dairy and grain from the diet because these are unnatural foods that we’ve only started eating relatively recently with the advent of cultivation and farming.

I am 23 years old, weigh 164lbs and have a horrible body fat % and i need to do something about it. In the past month i have really started watching what i eat and i work out hard at least 4 times a week, however i have not seen a decrease in my weight and i am getting very discouraged. I have even gone to the lengths of getting a personal trainer and still nothing.

Surround yourself with people who support your efforts. Even our good friends can knowingly or unknowingly sabotage weight-loss attempts. Spend time with those people who will not pressure you to make poor food choices.

    I have dropped a dress size in 6 weeks on this diet,here is a typical days eating plan.morning.a skinny latte,mid morning, an omelette,with no dairy and another coffee, mid. afternoon, 8almonds, and a raw carrot with a tablespoon of non dairy tuna dip, evening, a large plate of green vegetables, 250g. of mushrooms, and a small serve of meat, fish or chicken,evening snack, bowl of frozen berries,sprinkled with artificial sweetener, and microwaved for 2 minutes, with a 3rd.coffee. my only exercise is walking, and I am not hungry at all.love this diet
    I have found this to be true and just in time, I’m pre-menopausal at 46. I don’t want to gain a lot of weight! Can you address tummy weight as you age. This is the REALLY tough nut for MANY people as they get older!!! 🙂
