This happened three times this week, usually at breakfast or dinner. I use coconut oil per day so could that be inducing ketosis and physiological insulin resistance? I have low FBG so that wouldn’t make much sense. I’m worried with this random spikes and I can’t think of any plausible reason why this happens…

Hi everyone.. I am getting a bit discouraged here since I feel like I am doing everything right and I am still struggling to lose weight and keep it off…I know these last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose but I am wondering if something else is to blame for the plateaus and recent weight increase after a weight loss.
I don’t care how incorrect current measures are, its about consistency more than accuracy. Plug in your weight to a online calculator (or multiply lbs by 15 for a rough rule of thumb) for your maintenance level of calories and slash 500-1000 off of that to start losing (tweak the number to stablize fat loss at 1-2lbs a week for a healthy pace). Count everything that is consumed, every veggie, every snack.
Drink water only. Water is the dieter’s best friend. Sweet, sugary, or caffeinated drinks are the enemy of the dieter. A simple sweet “energy” or “sports” drink can be as much as 400 calories. That’s a third of your total calories for the entire day. Stay away from any drink but water, with one exception.
Eat organ meat like liver. Liver is the richest source of vitamin A in the world and is also rich in vitamin K, B vitamins, iron, and so much more. It not be the most palatable food in the world (though I personally love it). If you cannot stomach the idea of organ meat, try a desiccated liver supplement like this one.
Me and my husband just started this diet and I had a question regarding a few things you are and are not allowed to consume. 1st – is it ok to use vinegar on salads as well as olives? Are nuts allowed at all? Are there any restrictions as to how much calorically should be consumed men vs woman? Can butter substitutes and spices be used?
