I AM, however, telling you that if you want to see results without spending hours upon hours in the gym, you need to get your diet under control, and this is the most efficient way for you to get there.
I lost 10 lbs. The first 3 weeks without trying and without feeling hungry. And this is post menopause with a metabolism! I feel good and look good and will continue. Now for some exercise to take it further. I’m sure our paleo ancestors did a lot of walking.

Fortunately, if you can expand your horizons and remove certain types of food from your diet, you can stop worrying about counting calories FOREVER and instead focus on fixing your relationship with food.
Think of it this way – if you’re coming from a less-than-stellar diet into clean eating and eliminating bagels, pasta and rice as the staples, you need to replace that energy with something else. That usually means larger portions of the healthier foods such as vegetables and protein.
Allan I agree with Prioris’ comment. You may want to step away from the scale and go by measurements (particularly your waistline measurement) and how your clothes are fitting. I know its hard to do that but that number on the scale can fluctuate for so many different reasons. Another suggestion would be maybe not to try to do it all at once maybe take a couple of weeks and get your ‘diet’ down and then add in some exercise. Its possible that too much change too quickly through your metabolism hormones out of whack and they signaled your brain to store fat rather than use it for energy! Good luck!

I have also modified the diet somewhat. For example I do not limit myself to the veggies that are recommended above… I eat a salad with oil and vinegar mainly. For my post workout meal I like to eat a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread, and a chocolate chip cookie (so I do crave it later) or some fruit (I really feel that fruits are vital to good nutrition… and I happen to really love mangos)and cottage cheese (all small proportions).

Raw lean meat may only be usable for a few days in the fridge. But frozen items can last for month. If you always have some foods that fit your cardiac diet in the freezer, you’ll be able to easily whip something up, even when you’re in a rush.

I am having a lot of back pain and hip pain I think it’s because I’m gaining a lot I hope this will help to loose the weight I tried this before but was just taking vinegar shorts when I felt like eating and was making myself sick so this time I will follow directions
Chickpeas are a legume, and as such they aren’t allowed on the Paleo diet. Chickpeas contain phytic acid which makes it harder for the body to absorb key nutrients. By abstaining from these sorts of foods you’ll be helping to increase the amount of vitamins and minerals absorbed by the body, which should make you feel better on a daily basis, and over time. 2. If you have a lot of fat to lose (ie. >20% body fat) then I would recommend a “Cheat Meal” to start rather than a “Binge Day”. There’s a continuum from Cheat Meal to Binge Meal to Binge Day in how severely you break the diet’s rules. A Cheat Meal might be excessive but still quality carbs like potatoes or pasta while a Binge Meal will have both excessive and low-quality carbs like a Snickers bar or slice of cake. The greater the fat to lose then the less severe of a binge is appropriate.
12. Patience: As I mentioned above, it’s possible that you are already at a great weight for your body, even if it isn’t what you were hoping to achieve. How do you feel? Are you energetic? fit? happy? If you do still have weight to lose and you are doing everything else right, it might just be that your body needs some time to adjust hormone levels (but also check out my post on Female Hormones, Weight and Autoimmunity), adjust the number of receptors on cell surfaces, and repair itself. When your body is ready (and this might take one to three months), you will start losing weight again.
Now I don’t use the butter, I’ve replaced it with simple almond milk and maca powder, and will have a green smoothie around 11:00 then eat lunch around 2 pm. I still have not lost the weight I gained. I went from 120 to 125 (I’m 5’7″).
